Rabat – The Moroccan police in Tetouan confiscated three kilograms of cocaine and 94,728 Psychotrope pills in a new operation as part of the country’s efforts to combat drug trafficking.

The police arrested two suspects, a statement by the National Security General Directorate (DGSN) said and found that the accused are two brothers aged 29 and 41, which are alleged connections to a criminal network in drug trafficking.

Police too confiscated 14 kilograms of cannabis, eight knives and money in national and foreign currency probably from drug trafficking.
The Moroccan police also confiscated walkie talks, fake license plates and two vehicles in addition to three mini-keals and a tear gas canister.
The police started the suspects in the volatile time until a judicial examination of the arrest of potential complications was arrested in this case.
According to the recent annual report of the DGSN, the police from Morocco, attacked 92,346 cases related to drugs in 2024. This year the police arrested 119,692 people. Of the arrested, 287 foreign citizens were detailed in the report.
In addition, the police confiscated 123 tons and 971 kilograms of cannabis in various operations across the country as well as 1.9 tons of cocaine, 16.5 kilograms of heroin and over 1.4 million psychotropic substances.
