CES is a great place to check out all sorts of new technology of the year, but it’s also often the wildest gadgets who steal the show. The conference has thousands of exhibitors in attendance, all vying for attention, and you really never know what they’ll come up with. And this year’s show did not disappoint. So without further ado, here’s the strangest technology we encountered at CES 2025 – all the crazy (and crazy useful) gadgets we spotted in the wilds of the show floor. Remember, weird doesn’t necessarily mean bad – we actually want to buy some of these! They’re just not quite the run-of-the-mill laptops or TVs from the major vendors that dominated the show floor.
EcoFlow Power Hat
Want to look like a Hogwarts professor while effortlessly charging a smartphone? Then we have the hat for you. The EcoFlow Power Hat Includes an embedded set of monocrystalline silicon solar cells and a pair of charging ports. It may look stupid, but it also looks pretty darn useful. It costs $129 and is available now.
Inner VR Explorer
VR can easily show us digital views, but it can’t do much about natural movement. This is where this bizarre and cool swivel chair comes into play Inner VR Explorer moves in the direction you tilt your head and is designed for use with Meta Quest headsets, but can also be integrated with other models. Surprisingly, it doesn’t seem to cause too much motion sickness. It costs $800 and is available now.
Yukai Mirumi
It wouldn’t be CES without an adorable robot stealing our hearts. This year’s sweet cake is the Yukai Mirumiand it is an absolute unit of a fluffball. All it really does is look cute and make eye contact, with the occasional shy glance elsewhere as it’s hard to come by. But that’s enough. Playing with it feels like meeting a new kitten, and we’re totally fine with that. When it appears on a crowdsourcing platform later this year, it should cost around $80.
Anker Solix solar beach umbrella
Parasols are a good idea. The thing is already open to provide some much-needed shade, so it might as well soak up the sap of the sun. That’s Anker’s thinking behind it Solix solar beach umbrella. It uses perovskite solar cells in its panels, which are highly efficient and provide up to 80W of power. We don’t have pricing or availability for it yet, but it should arrive in time for summer.
Roborock Saros Z70
This is not an exercise. The Roborock Saros Z70 The robot vacuum cleaner has real robot arms that pick up objects from the floor while cleaning. It can lift items up to 300 grams, making it great for dirty socks, pet toys and even some light sandals. However, there appears to be an upper limit to the number of items the AI can recognize. There is no price or release date for this handy Robovac yet.
Mecha Systems Comet
The Mecha Systems Comet is the handheld computer of our dreams. This tiny little thing is a modular, Linux-based computer designed for hobbyists, engineers, artists, and roboticists. It has a 1.8GHz ARM64 quad-core processor, 32GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. However, everything is expandable and customizable. A magnetic snap-on interface allows users to clip on a wide variety of control panels for unique application scenarios. It is Coming to Kickstarter soon, with a starting price of $160.
Jizai Wed-Mon
Here’s another robot, and this one looks just like the iconic Pixar lamp. The Jizai Wed-Mon is described as a “general-purpose AI robot” that “thinks and acts” independently. It has an integrated camera and microphones and uses several large language models for speech and image recognition. The company hopes the robot will one day be used for simple childcare tasks, such as reminding children to do their homework. This is just a prototype at the moment, so there is no price or availability.
Air Studio One
Why choose both a microphone and headphones when you could just go for this weird 2-in-1 device? The Air Studio One is a decent wireless condenser microphone with a secret lurking behind it. When you open the case, you’ll find an audio interface, a wireless USB-C dongle, and a pair of true wireless headphones. We couldn’t really get a feel for what the microphone sounded like (CES is loud), but this could be a real boon for musicians when it’s released later this year.
SwitchBot K20+ Pro
Here’s a robot vacuum cleaner with a built-in stand that allows it to wander around the house while carrying something else, like an air purifier or a tablet. The SwitchBot K20+ Pro is described as a “multitasking” household assistant that can do other things besides cleaning floors. To this end, it supports a wide range of attachments and connects seamlessly with other SwitchBot devices. In theory, this thing can also deliver drinks and snacks. It will go on sale later this year, but there’s no price yet.
Haus.me microhaus Pro
The Haus.me microhaus Pro is a small home with not so small ambitions. It can be placed almost anywhere, requires no professional contractors or on-site preparation, and meets California seismic fire and CAT-5 hurricane codes. These 120 square meter apartments also feature floor-to-ceiling windows, a large shower, a kitchen and a folding bed that folds to reveal a table and two bench seats. The price starts at $35,000, which isn’t too bad considering it’s a home. Pre-orders are now possible.
Govee Gaming Pixel Light
Do you want a unique set for your game room? The Govee Gaming Pixel Light is available in two sizes and can either be placed on the desk or mounted on the wall. By default, users can choose from 150 pixel-based scenes, but that’s just the beginning. The device is programmable, both via the display itself and via a companion app. This app actually has a chatbot that allows people to easily describe what they want to see. Pretty cool, right? It will be available later this year and should cost $100.
MSI Mag Coreliquid A13
MSI has designed a CPU water block for CES 2025 that has an integrated turntable and is simply great.
Unfortunately, there are no plans to put it into actual production.

The MSI Mag Coreliquid A13 is a CPU cooler with a built-in turntable. Yes. You read that correctly. It’s based on the Mag Coreliquid A15 360, but has a cute turntable that fits right into a desktop computer. Well, the word “turnable” is appropriate here, but it doesn’t play records. Instead, MSI showed the device that can spin a dragon mascot. It’s very cool and I really want it, but right now it’s just a concept design. MSI has no plans to sell this thing.
