Rabat – The police in Kenitra thwarted a large drug trafficking early Thursday morning after receiving detailed information from the General Directorate for Territorial Monitoring (DGSt).

The security operation took place on the street between Kenitra and Sidi Allal El Bahraoui, which led to the confiscation of a ton and 924 kilograms of hashish.

The police have also intercepted a supply vehicle that is suspected of transporting the medication. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 50 hashish bundles that weigh a total of 1.9 tons. Officers also found several fake license plates.

The driver of the vehicle managed to escape and the security forces work to identify and arrest him. The investigation has not yet been completed to find all activities involved in this criminal activity.

This operation is part of the continuous efforts of Morocco’s security services to combat drug trafficking and illegal substances.

Last week, also with DGSN support, police in Tetouan confiscated Three kilograms of cocaine and 94,728 psychotrope pills.

The police also confiscated 14 kilograms of cannabis, eight knives and money in national and foreign currency, which probably came from the proceeds of drug trade.

The two suspects in question are brothers aged 29 and 41 in the rural areas of lactout nearby Uezzane. You supposedly have connections to a criminal network that is involved in drug trafficking.
