After a long break thanks to the covid pandemic, Seth Macfarlanes finally returned loved sci-fi series, named The Orville: New horizonsThe series looked better with its biggest budget so far, and the result was one of the largest seasons of all science fiction series. Not bad for a show that started as a homage Star Trek: The next generationBut in season 3, the risk of war on the universe and several factions, which after makes jockey, remembers another show: Babylon 5. From Star Trek to Babylon 5 in three seasons
Alcuzan, who concerns his status as president of the planetary union, cannot join the ORVILLE crew at the front. Instead, he seems to issue proclamations and greet the Kaylon in the planet union. It may be a guest star, but The Orville: New horizons transforms the series from A Star Trek Tribute in A Babylon 5 Tribute and Boxleitner slip effortlessly into his role as a science fiction-colored statesman. The struggle between the two opposing alliances, with krill and moclans on one side and the planet Union and Kaylons on the other, does not reach the great heights of the Space Opera of the 90s, but it is still extremely satisfactory and shows how far The series is far from the growing pain of the first season.
Fans consider The Orville To be one of the best Star Trek shows that have ever been made, and while Babylon 5 Fans are used to approaching the narrow storytelling and complicated character growth of the unique series New horizons. It is not just Boxleitner who sounds as if there has been no time and clearly enjoys his time on a science fiction set, but the double crosses, political power and the lack of simple answers that lead to a solution in which everyone Morally questionable has made decisions remembering the shadow war. Not bad for an unpleasant comedy series that made a point in Episode 1 to discuss Foreigner Bathroom habits.
