Daniel is a Lifehacker staff author. He served in the US Navy, where he reached the rank of a Petty Officer as a logistical specialist and received a navy community service medal and a navy letter for his exemplary service for his exemplary service on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt Aircraft Carrier. He acquired his bachelor in Environmental Science from the University of California, Davis, and acquired his master’s degree at the graduate school of Columbia University. Daniel was an economic reporter for The Miami Herald before he came to Lifehacker. He lives in Atlanta, Ga.
