The young Moroccan striker Elyess Dao has joined the Belgian First Division (Pro League) RSC Anderlecht from the French Ligue 2 Side Amiens, the Brussels Club said on Monday.
“Elyess Dao (18) has informationed a contract with RSC Anderlecht by 2029, which he had joined on the last day of the transfer window”.
“Elyess is a talented striker with a very interesting profile. He was brought up as a striker, but can be used in all offensive positions, ”inspired the sports director of Anderlecht Olivier Renard.
“He has our playing style, he is very good in the ball and fast. There was great interest in him and we are pleased that he chose RSC Anderlecht, ”he added.
Dao was trained in his hometown Toulouse from the age of 6 before moving to France’s Amiens last summer.
In Ligue 2, the young striker played 14 games as a replacement and assisted. He started twice in three Coupé de France games.
Elyess Dao played 3 games with the Moroccan U20 national team and 2 with the U18S.
