Noussair Mazraoui recently distinguished himself with remarkable statistics by surpassing all players in the five major European leagues in terms of successful interceptions.
According to statistics website WhoScored, Mazraoui made the most interceptions per 90 minutes of any player in Europe’s major leagues this year.
The Moroccan defender averaged 4.1 interceptions per game, a record that puts him at the top of players in the big five leagues with over 1,000 minutes played this season.
The Atlas Lion’s outstanding performances have helped increase his market value from 30 million euros to 32 million euros by the end of 2024, according to the latest update from specialist website Transfermarkt.
Mazraoui has made 24 appearances for Manchester United across all competitions, providing two assists and demonstrating defensive versatility in his various positions.
Manchester United signed Mazraoui from FC Bayern Munich last summer and is linked to the Old Trafford club through a contract that runs until the summer of 2028.
