The Manchester United winger makes a promise to his fans after signing a contract until 2030
Amad Diallo said he wants Manchester United to “make our fans proud again” after signing a contract extension until 2030.
Ivorian international Diallo, whose previous contract ran until June, scored six goals and provided seven assists in 28 appearances in the 2024/25 season, but admitted the season had been “difficult for everyone” for the underperforming club.
“I am firmly convinced that we are on the right path and that the future will be really special,” said the 22-year-old, whose team is closer to the relegation zone than the top eight matches after a winning streak in seven league games.
“I am ready to give everything to help the team and make our fans proud again. I have already experienced some incredible moments with this club, but there is much more to come.”

Diallo United stats
Diallo moved to United from Italian club Atalanta for £19 million in January 2021 and spent the second half of the following season on loan at Rangers in the Scottish Premier League.
Championship club Sunderland signed Diallo, who can also play as a central midfielder or full-back, on loan for the entire 2023/24 season before his breakthrough at Old Trafford last season.
Arguably the most memorable moment of his career to date occurred on December 15th at Manchester City, when, after Bruno Fernandes’ equalizer in the 88th minute, he scored the winning goal in the 90th minute in the 2-1 comeback win, making his total nine Goals scored in 50 United appearances.
Fernandes is Diallo’s only teammate to match his tally of six assists in the Premier League this season, with no other player in the squad having assisted more than one league goal.
The Portuguese captain and striker Marcus Rashford have each scored one more goal than Diallo’s three in the league season.

Diallo: “Enormous potential”
“I’m really proud to have signed this new contract,” said Diallo. “I have learned so much since I arrived here four years ago; I am very grateful to the coaches and support staff who have helped me develop and to the fans who push me forward every day.”
United technical director Jason Wilcox – a former Premier League winner as a winger – said Diallo’s “quality on the ball, versatility and determination” made him a “key element” in new coach Ruben Amorim’s squad.
“The best years of his career lie ahead of him,” Wilcox added. “We all look forward to helping Amad fulfill his immense potential and achieve success at the club in the coming seasons.”
