Mihailo Ivanovic’s first-half header and goals from Casper De Norre and Ra’ess Bangura-Williams after the break gave Championship club Millwall victory over fifth-tier Dagenham & Redbridge in the final game of the FA Cup third round at The Den.

Serbian striker Ivanovic scored his third Millwall goal of the season just off the line in the 30th minute.

Ivanovic fired over the bar from close range after the break, but his waste was made up for when Belgian midfielder De Norre volleyed home Joe Bryan’s cross with 20 minutes left.

Three days after signing a long-term professional contract with Millwall, 20-year-old midfielder Bangura-Williams made his debut with a blistering run and an assured finish that put the result beyond doubt with five minutes left in normal time.

Millwall vs Dagenham: Lions continue

The result was Alex Neil’s first win since the Scot Succeeds Neil Harris as Millwall manager on Dec. 30, sending the Lions to the fourth round for the first time in four seasons.

Leeds United, 14th in League Two, face opponents who are currently at the top of the table and 23 points above them fourth round on the weekend of February 8th.

Dagenham’s FA Cup run ended after three games in this season’s competition, including eye-catching wins at League Two clubs Wimbledon and Crewe Alexandra.
