The Moroccan office for industrial and commercial properties (IMPIC) achieved very encouraging results in 2024 in relation to inquiries about real estate papers. The brand deposits reached 31,581, which corresponds to an increase of 13 % compared to 2023, with 68 % of the requirements of Moroccan origin.
The sectors of the chemical industry and pharmaceutical products are the most represented. Inquiries for industrial drawings and models have also increased by 26 %, a total of 6,818 deposits, mainly in the packaging sector.
The inquiries from invention patents have increased slightly and therefore reached 2,926, a significant part of which comes from Moroccan universities. With regard to the creation of companies, more than 126,000 negative certificates were issued, which reflects a particularly clear regional dynamic in Casablanca set.
Internationally, Morocco has increased four places in the World Innovation Index and differs mainly in the area of intangible assets. Impic plays a key role in protecting and improving intellectual creations and thus promoting the innovation and competitiveness of Moroccan companies
