Rabat – The government council approved a decree decree on Thursday to set up a provisional management within the Ministry of Equity and Water.
This management is commissioned to monitor the Development From National Road N1 that connects Tiznit to Dakhla.
The draft of the decree No. 2.25.117 changes DEKET No. 2.17.321, which was issued on July 17, 2017 to create the first management. Mustapha Baitas, the Minister for Parliamentary Relations and Government spokesman, made the announcement during a press conference after the council meeting.
The decision follows the Foundation a preliminary central directorate on June 1, 2017 to monitor the street work along the Tiznit-Dakhla route.
First, the decree determined a final period for June 1, 2022. The decree No. 2.23.107 issued on April 6, 2023 extended the validity of the decrees until the end of 2024.
Significant changes to the project, including the construction of a large motorway viaduct via OUED SAKIA EL-HAMRA near the Laayoune bypass, required the validity of the decrees. As a result, the decree remains in force until December 31, 2026, as explained by Mr. Baitas.
The last 114-kilometer route of the Tiznit-Dakhla Expressway was officially open On January 10, in this section, the Maader near Tiznit connects to Guelmim, sidi Ifni goes through. Although the final segment was completed last November, it remained closed to enable the installation of street signs and other degrees.
With the entire 1,055 kilometer expressway, it is now fully functional and represents a significant milestone in the development of the street infrastructure in Morocco.
The MAD 10 billion project ($ 1 billion), initiated by King Mohammed VI in 2015, corresponds to the international security standards and is part of a broader development program that aims to improve the southern regions of the Morocco.
