The French plaintiff withdraws rape complaints in the Bennis-Alj-Slaoui case

Doha-Am Friday occurred in the top-class case of Bennis-Alj-Slaoui when the plaintiff, the French lawyer Sixtine Felix, withdrew her rape complaint against Kamil Bennis before the Casablanca Court of Appeal.

The case that has been ongoing for several months concerns Bennis and two other defendants, M’hamed Alj and Saâd Slaoui, the one were recorded In a preventive imprisonment in the Oukacha prison in Casablanca since November.

According to Moroccan news agency LE360, Felix appeared in front of an investigator at the Casablanca Court of Appeal accompanied by The lawyer Khadija Roggany.

During the hearing, she officially withdrew her complaint against Bennis and explained that during the evening in question she was unconscious in Bennis and did not match her previous report with reality.

This withdrawal takes place after several important developments in the case. In December, Felix, Mohamed Amine Naguib, had already withdrawn his complaint against the three men for assault, injury and detention.

At that time, Felix had retained her position and found in an interview with LE360 on December 31 that she had no intention of withdrawing her complaint, citing her French citizenship and her professional status as factors that made it resistant to pressure.

After a hearing on December 24, in which twelve witnesses reported the allegations of rape, the case took another turn. This was followed by confrontations between the accused, the plaintiff and the witnesses.

On February 27, Felix kept her first version of events in front of the examiner and claimed that she had been put under drugs with GHB, was generally referred to as the “rape date”, although no medical analysis confirmed this claim.

During the entire study, Bennis consistently claimed that the sexual encounter with Felix was mutually mutually mutually agreed and that the administration of medication refused. The other defendants also have allegations of assault against Naguib and any participation in the alleged rape.

A seismic turn in the case developed on January 5, when Naguib in the Oukacha prison prevented detention in the Oukacha prison for “violation of the confidentiality of the investigation”.

Several witnesses who are present at the evening meeting in Bennis’ Residence have confirmed the version of the events of the accused and claimed that Naguib was very excited and supposedly had both his partner and another guest.

While the investigator has not yet decided on the final indictment or given provisional approval, Felix is expected to accelerate the case.

However, the public prosecutor can continue to pursue a criminal law if it realizes that the alleged crimes are of public interest or represent a serious or obvious violation.
