The French Interior Minister accuses Algeria not to respect the law

Rabat – The persistent tensions between Algiers and Paris have again reached a boiling point when French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau renewed the accusations of Algeria and his participation in violations of international law.

On Tuesday, Retailleau appeared in a new interview with TF1 and accused Algeria of not respecting the law.

He referred Algeria’s latest decision to refuse an influencer that was excluded from France at the beginning of this year.

“If the Algerian had no identity card or a biometric passport, I would understand the need for a consular passport,” said the Interior Minister and found that the documents recognized that he is an Algerian.

“So Algeria violates the law. I asked my services to investigate how we could sanction the National Airline Air Algerie, ”he added and found that France was investigating“ all possible retaliation ”.

Retailleau has raised recent accusations against Algeria in the middle of a deteriorated diplomatic tension between Paris and Algiers.

In January he accused Algeria of the Attempt “France humiliates” after the North African country had refused to preserve the designated Algerian social media influencer.

“France cannot tolerate this situation … We now have to rate all funds available for algeria,” he added.

In a further development today, Algeria’s regime criticized the French minister Rachida Dati for visiting the southern provinces of Morocco and contributed the tension between the two countries.

Dati made a historical visit to Morocco Laayoune and conveyed the steadfast support of her country for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Morocco about its southern provinces in Western Sahara.

France announced his support for the Moroccos Sahara in July last year, with the decision strengthening bilateral relationships between the two countries at all levels.

Visiting Dati is the first of its kind for a French minister since the recognition decision.

“A visit by the French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati in the Moroccan Sahara can be convicted of gravity and for several reasons,” said the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

For the Algerian Ministry, the visit reflects “an obvious contempt for international legality by a constant member of the UN Security Council.”

The decision is a replica of the same position taken by Algeria’s regime when France announced his newly discovered Sahara position for the first time.

After the decision of France on the western Sahara, the Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf announced that his country would take further measures against the European country.

“This is not a recall of the ambassador for advice. It is a reduction in the diplomatic representation. It is an important step to express our conviction and disapproval, ”said Attaf at a press conference in August last year.

The statement is similar to the press release in Algeria, which after Spain the Morocco autonomy plan as the most serious political solution for the termination of the dispute About Western Sahara In March 2022.
