Morocco will benefit from a loan from France of 781 million euros (8 billion DH) to finance the purchase of 18 TGV produced by Alstom, the French embassy in Rabat said on Friday.
These trains are part of a plan to extend the Kenitra High -Blend -Schiensen network in Marrakech before the 2030 World Cup, which is welcomed by Morocco near Spain and Portugal.
In detail, the French manufacturer will provide the OnCF two story trains “Avelia Horizon”, which 640 passengers can transport at a speed of 320 km/h, the message said in a press release. OnCF also aims to extend its network in order to double the number of cities by 2040 to reach 43 or 87% of the Moroccan population.
