Textiles: The Chinese group sunrise is positioned in FeZ

The Chinese textile giant, sunrise, will finally position itself in FEZ and in the Rabat region. The group’s bosses signed the investment contract on Thursday, March 20, 2025, in Rabat during a ceremony that took place in the presence of the government manager and the ministers of the industry and the investment.

As a reminder, Sunrise announced her intention to invest 4.1 billion DH (equivalent to $ 422.2 million) in Morocco. The announcement was made in September 2024 during a meeting between Lei XU, the President of the Sunrise Group, and the leader of the Moroccan government, Aziz Akhannouch. The Chinese group opted for an industrial country with an area of 20 ha for its unit project in FEZ. Project that should create 5,000 direct jobs within three years (and just as much for the unity of the Rabat region). This creation of jobs is part of the implementation of industrial complexes that cover the entire value chain. For FEZ, a city that has a great story in the textile industry, the installation of sunrise would enable the heart of the off -the -pace textile industry. Note that Moroccan textiles import 85% of the inputs.

Upstream textiles are essential for the integration of the sector. It represents the basis of the value chain because it contains the production sectors of inputs and raw materials that are required for the production of finished products. The integration of this essential connection is strongly supported by local and national decisions. Finally, we learn that a second unit of the Chinese group should be installed in the Rabat region.
