Taza: More than 45,000 farmers have social protection
Currently, 45,200 farmers benefit from the social protection program in Taza province, although 15,418 de-registration requests have been registered for farmers who have ceased operations.
There was also a significant decline in livestock numbers, falling by 23% for sheep, 20% for goats and 19% for cattle, while the number of breeders fell to 15,281.
The provincial agriculture directorate has launched 13 projects under the “Generation Green 2024-2025” strategy aimed at promoting integrated rural development in the mountainous areas of the Rif and improving irrigation areas and rural roads.
It should be noted that 12,056 students are enrolled in Taza’s multidisciplinary faculty for the 2024-2025 academic year, including 297 master’s students and 423 doctoral students.
In addition, the provincial council also considered development projects for the eastern and western entrances of Taza to optimize access, reduce congestion and boost the local economy.
In addition, an agreement for the development of Friouato Cave was approved, aiming to integrate this site into the national tourism network.
