The Tanger Med port complex handled more than 10.24 million TEU containers in 2024, an increase of 18.8% compared to 2023.
This increase is due to operator confidence, improvements in facilities and optimization of stopovers.
The port also handled 516,842 TIR trucks, an increase of 8.1%, and welcomed 3,047,387 passengers, an increase of 13%.
600,872 vehicles were handled at the two vehicle terminals, an increase of 4%.
Although bulk cargo traffic remained stagnant, the volume of hydrocarbons fell by 22% due to relocation to other ports.
A total of 142 million tonnes of goods were handled with 17,479 sea calls, including 1,217 mega-ships.
