During the meeting, Issa Rae and Keke Palmer explained the plot behind “One Of Them Days.” According to the actors, the film was inspired by the experiences of one of Syreeta Singleton’s friends. Additionally, the film largely focuses on the effects of gentrification. But focuses on two friends – played by Keke Palmer and SZA – who are “trying to make ends meet.”

As she spoke, Palmer reflected on the chemistry between her and SZA and how that translated on screen.

“I think maybe we naturally have a similar vibe” Palmer explained. “We first met in person on SNL (Saturday Night Live) … then we met on film and … we just had chemistry. I can’t even explain that.”

When it comes to off-screen relationships, Palmer shared that her “craziest” moment of holding down a friend was going to her partner and his partner’s mother. Rae, on the other hand, said she posed as a doctor to give a friend’s partner a little medical scare.
