Several European countries have suspended processing asylum applications from Syrians following the December 8 overthrow of Bashar al-Assad. But for many Syrian refugees in France, the situation in Syria is still too uncertain for them to consider returning. Others told FRANCE 24 that they had already built lives in their new homes.
