The prominent music agent Dave Shapiro is one of those who were killed, according to his talent company, after a small plane crashed into a residential street in San Diego.
Mr. Shapiro was a co -founder of the Sound Talent Group, whose customers include rock bands like Sum 41, Story of the Year and Pierce The Veil.
Daniel Williams, former drummer of the metal band The Devil Wears Prada, is also feared to be involved in the crash. Media reports show that he posted on social media on social media.
The crash destroyed a house and damaged 10 other buildings in the Murphy Canyon district, with charmed cars and debris being left behind on the street. Eight people on the ground were injured.
“We are destroyed by the loss of our co -founder, colleagues and friends,” said a spokesman for the Sound Talent Group in a statement to the BBC.
“Our hearts go to their families and everyone who is affected by today’s tragedy. Thank you for respecting your privacy at that time.”
The company said that “three aircraft crash employees”, including Shapiro, lost. It did not identify the others.
The authorities of San Diego confirmed that at least two people were killed in the crash, although the National Transportation Safety Board – which examines the incident – that the complete fatalities were still unclear. The authorities have not published the names of one of the people killed.
The aircraft, a Cessna 550 plane, turned into the neighborhood at around 3:45 a.m. (10:45 GMT). According to the Federal Aviation Administration, such aircraft can wear up to 10 people, including a pilot.
In addition to his music career, according to his aviation company Velocity Aviation, Shapiro was an enthusiastic pilot and a certified flight instructor with 15 years of experience.
Mr. Williams, who was also on the plane, published several Instagram stories in the hours before the crash. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the contributions with Mr. Shapiro and him were sitting next to the music manager on the co-pilot seat.
The mail showed the flight number that the crashed, reported, reported the newspaper.
Williams was a founding member of the devil Wears Prada and part of the Christian Metal Band for more than 10 years before participating in 2016.
The band posted a number of photos by Williams on Instagram and flying with drum sticks and in an airplane and in the band.
“No words. We owe everything to you,” says the post. “Love yourself forever.”
The crash caused around 100 people from the neighborhood to be evacuated northeast of the city of San Diego.
One of the eight people who were injured was hospitalized. Others were treated at the scene.
Elliot Simpson, investigator of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), said the plane left New Jersey on Wednesday evening at 11:15 p.m. local time (3:45 GMT) and then stopped in Wichita, Kansas, to recharge it.
He said the aircraft approached San Diego Airport and seemed to meet two power lines before walking and falling into the neighborhood. Mr. Simpson said it was too early to say whether this is related to the cause of the crash.
Mr. Simpson added that the NTSB was there to collect evidence and said that they found some fragments of the aircraft under the power lines and a wing on a nearby street.
On Thursday, the deputy fire chief Dan Eddy described the scene by saying: “There is aircraft everywhere”.
“As you would expect, something that would have a lot of litter with this amount of speed that goes in the entire direction,” he said.
The film material from the scene shows the charred cars that are covered across the street.
The inhabitant Christopher Moore told the Associated Press that he and his wife were woken up by a loud bang in the early morning.
Mr. Moore said they looked out the window and saw smoke, and the couple grabbed their two little children and fled.
Once on the street, they saw how a car was devoured in flames.
“It was definitely terrible, but sometimes they just have to drop their heads and come to safety,” said Moore.
A navy who lives near the crash site told Fox News that he heard a “strange whistling gaspage sound”, followed by a “boom and a shake in the house”.
The plane seemed to go to Montgomery Field, an airport 10 km north of the downtown San Diego.
