Rabat – The Moroccan meteorological management has published an orange warning for several regions, which warns of strong snowfall and strong winds at the weekend.
It is expected that the snowfall affects mountain areas over 1400 meters and 1700 meters, the possibility of localized dust storms.
According to the weather bulletin, snowfall could reach up to 40 centimeters in some areas, especially in the provinces of Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Boulemane, Ifrane and Sefrou, from midnight on Sunday until 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
It is also expected that the snow affects higher locations over 1700 meters, with up to 25 centimeters of snow in the provinces of Khenifra, Midelt, Taza, Beni Mellal, Azilal and Khenifra on Sunday until 1:00 p.m. on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday at 9:00 a.m.
In addition, the weather authority predicts strong winds at a speed of 70 to 85 kilometers per hour and the risk of dust towers for several regions.
