Spencer Johnson’s unplayable yorker stuns Tim Seifert for golden duck in 2024-25 BBL duel
The Melbourne Renegades may have defeated Brisbane Heat by three wickets in the 38th match of the ongoing Big Bash League 2024-25 (BBL 2024-25) on Saturday, January 18, but it was Spencer Johnson who scored at Docklands with his Bowling spoke for itself at the stadium in Melbourne.
In the 12th over of the Melbourne Renegades’ chase in Melbourne, Brisbane Heat bowler Spencer Johnson kept two batsmen off balance with magical deliveries. Johnson defeated Oliver Peake for 19 runs and Tim Seifert for a golden duck with absolute beauty at Docklands Stadium in Melbourne.
Spencer Johnson’s stunning double strike is causing a stir in the 2024-25 BBL
On the second delivery of the 12th over, Spencer Johnson, already pumped up after removing Peake, bowled full and straight towards the stumps and Oliver Peake tried to back away and play a big shot but missed it completely. The zing bails lit up and Peake had to go back after scoring 19 from 21 balls in the 2024-25 BBL clash on Saturday.
But it was the dismissal of New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert that left everyone in awe of Johnson. On the third ball of the same over, Spencer Johnson delivered a perfect yorker aimed at the base of the stumps and that was too good for new batsman Seifert. Tim Seifert failed to bring his bat to the ground in time and was bowled clean for a golden duck.
