Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced a 15-man squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Monday (January 13) without much surprise. Temba Bavuma will lead the Proteas team, which includes 10 players from the 2023 ODI World Cup squad.

Cricket South Africa said in an official statement: “White-ball head coach Rob Walter today announced a 15-man squad for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, to be played in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9.” The captain of One Day International, Temba Bavuma, will lead the full squad, which includes ten players who took part in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India, where South Africa reached the semi-finals.”
