This is what an actress who appeared in “Modern Family” claims Sofia Vergara was her “rudest celebrity” encounter.
According to the person, Vergara received this title because of how she treated her co-workers and experienced a nervous breakdown on the set of the comedy show due to a wig problem.
This claim comes as Sofia Vergara continued to spark dating rumors after she was spotted having a casual lunch in New York with a Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton.

During an appearance on The Bald and the Beautiful podcast with drag queens Trixie and Katya, actress Kelly Mantle, who guest starred as a drag queen on the 2019 Modern Family episode titled “The Last Halloween,” shared: her experiences working with Sofía Vergara.
Mantle described the 52-year-old actress as her “rudest celebrity,” citing how Vergara allegedly treated her employees.
“It wasn’t the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had,” Mantle admitted Daily Mail. “It wasn’t towards me. It was the way some of their employees were treated.”
Mantle described an incident in which Vergara reportedly refused to allow the crew to use hairpins to secure a wig for a scene.

“In the episode, she’s wearing a wig and they kept wanting to put bobby pins in it and she kept telling them not to do bobby pins,” she said of that moment.

The actress was having a “bad day” during the incident.
Tension reportedly grew on set when Mantle, who was tasked with placing a crown on Vergara’s head during a scene, unintentionally angered the actress.
“They’re screaming for action and they want me to put the crown on their hair,” Mantle said. “So I put the crown on, and then they say, ‘Cut,’ and she’s like, ‘Watch the wig! You put the crown on my head!’”
Mantle then jokingly replied to her, “Well, girl, you should have used those bobby pins.”
Reflecting on the incident, Mantle admitted that Vergara may have just been having a bad day.
“Maybe it was a bad day. I’m just saying it was a bad day. Because she is hilarious and beautiful and talented and gorgeous. I’m sure it was a bad day,” she said.

Vergara is rumored to be dating 40-year-old Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton and was recently spotted enjoying an intimate lunch with him in New York City.
The two were all smiles as they said goodbye while the Colombian-American actress then got into a car. They had dined with friends at Breakfast by Salt Cure, a popular eatery in the West Village.
Vergara and Hamilton sat side by side at the table, chatting animatedly with their group. Viewers noticed that the Griselda star barely touched her food and seemed completely engrossed in the conversation around her.
Vergara and Hamilton were seen smiling and chatting outside the restaurant before she got into an SUV and drove away.

The actress said she was “sort of single”
Vergara was most recently in a relationship with orthopedist Justin Saliman, but confirmed in October that she was single again.
The two were first seen together in October 2023 and went on several dates before the actress publicly announced that she had returned to the dating scene.
When asked about dating in New York compared to Los Angeles, Vergara responded Us weekly“I was just talking about it yesterday because I’m single now… sort of single.”
At this year’s Golden Globes, she revealed her goals for 2024 Access Hollywoodlisting “health,” “money,” and “a friend – or perhaps a lover.”
Saliman was Vergara’s first known relationship following her divorce from “Magic Mike” actor Joe Manganiello in 2023. The former couple married in 2015 at the height of her fame on “Modern Family” as Gloria Pritchett.
Vergara was previously married to her high school boyfriend, Joe Gonzalez, in the early 1990s, with whom she shares her 33-year-old son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara.

Sofia Vergara has won a lawsuit against her ex-fiancé Nick Loeb over frozen embryos
In between her two marriages, Vergara had a two-year relationship with actor Nick Loeb. The couple got engaged in 2012 but separated in 2014.
After their separation, Vergara and Loeb became embroiled in a protracted legal battle over two fertilized embryos they created through in vitro fertilization and cryogenically frozen.
In 2015, Loeb filed a lawsuit against Vergara, demanding custody of the embryos with the intent of bringing them to term, sparking a years-long court battle.
The actor initially pursued the case in California, but later moved it to Louisiana, where embryos are legally recognized as individuals with legal rights.
The “Wild Card” actress finally prevailed in 2021 when a Los Angeles judge issued a temporary restraining order preventing Loeb from using the embryos without her consent.
