Société Générale Maroc transforms the bank infrastructure with IBM, PowerM


Doha – Société Générale Marocaine de Bankes has started a large digital transformation initiative in collaboration with IBM and Power Maroc (PowerM).

“With its resilience and modularity, IBM Cloud Pak is used as the cornerstone of this transformation and offers improved security, optimized performance and innovation options, especially in artificial intelligence,” he added.

The transformation process began with a comprehensive analysis of the bankThe applications carried out by PowerM and IBM Expert Labs. The first efforts focused on solving performance problems and improving security measures.

The team has implemented upgrades to IBM Guardium and IBM MQ to protect sensitive customer data and also to ensure high messaging between applications even at peak times.

In addition, IBM Instana was used to improve the observability of the infrastructure and proactively solve the IT team.

Société Générale Maroc builds on these improvements and is now using IBM Cloud Pak for integration and IBM Cloud Pak for applications. The bank also takes over the containerization platform from Powerm, RKube, based on IBM Red Hats.

This integration aims to rationalize the services, accelerate the development and position the bank at the top of the financial sector in Morocco.
