‘Sister Wives’ Kody Brown says he will always choose Robyn over his children
Sister Wives star Kody Brown made it clear that his loyalty lies with his wife Robyn Brownby stating that he will always prioritize her over repairing relationships with his estranged children.
On the January 12th episode Sister Wives, Kody Brown addressed the growing rift between him and many of his 18 children and shared that although his love for his children is unwavering, he refuses to give up on his relationship with his fourth wife Robyn Brown repair family ties.
“My children will always be my children and the door will always be open for them” Kody said. “You have to come through this door. And should they take those first steps, I will hold out my hand to do so, but I will hold that hand next to me and I will not let go of that hand.”
Kody Brown made it clear that his commitment to Robynwhom he married in 2010 and who is now his only remaining wife, is non-negotiable. “I won’t cut it Robyn “To have a relationship with my children,” he emphasized.
Janelle speaks out about Kody’s family conflict
Kodys second wife, Janelle Brownoffered insight into the fractured family dynamics during the December 1 episode. Acknowledge their decision to leave Kody removed from the guest list for her daughter Savanah’s high school graduation party, Janelle rejected the idea Robyn’s Absence would make Kody more welcome.
“Kody has the idea that when he leaves he somehow leaves Robyn When he’s home, he can come to these family gatherings,” Janelle explained. “And that is so far from the truth.”
She added that Kody is estranged from the vast majority of her children. “Kody is estranged from 90 to 95 percent of his children. It is not necessarily welcome at events. He won’t come, no matter who he brings with him or not.”
Kodybelieves, however Robyn is the main source of tension. “I have the whole other side of the family that has decided that they are still a family and that we are out,” he said. “Now they let me into this club as long as I go Robyn behind. I can’t do that.”
Kody thinks about his life with Robyn
While the burden with his other children remains unresolved, Kody talked about the dynamics in his household Robyn and their five children: Dayton, 24, Aurora, 22, Breanna, 20, Solomon, 13, and Ariella, 9.
“It’s a really different world, the world I live with Robyn and our children,” Kody approved. “It’s nice, it’s pleasant, it’s beautiful. It’s small.”
However, he admitted that the dynamic of the smaller family was an adjustment for him. “I think I need a lot of attention” Kody said. “It was different being in a place where I don’t get as much attention.”
Christine and Janelle hope for reconciliation
Both Christine And Janelle Brown expressed the desire for it Kody to rebuild his relationships with her children. Christinewith whom she shares six children KodyShe said she hopes her children can strengthen their bond with their father.
“It is devastating when your children have problems with their father” Christine shared in an interview. “I would love for them to have a good relationship with him.”
She added: “I just tell them, ‘You have to accept him where he is and be open.’ Just be open, if he calls, answer the phone.’”
Janelle echoed these sentiments but acknowledged this Kodys Her unwillingness to address the issues with her children ultimately led her to leave. “The big spark for me was when his relationship with my children broke down and he didn’t seem like he was going to move heaven and earth to fix the problem.” Janelle revealed.
Meri reflects on misunderstandings in her marriage
In the meantime, Kodys first wife, Meri BrownShe spoke openly about her troubled relationship and claimed Kody had been sending her mixed messages for a long time.
“He made me believe he was working on things,” Meri shared. “That’s what he did for many, many years.”
KodyHowever, she claimed their marriage was rocky from the start. “This marriage was on the rocks the whole time,” he said. “I should have gotten out of the relationship 25 years ago.”
