The December 29th episode of Sister Wives serves up a full helping of drama, tears, and a generous helping of “Wait, what just happened?” as Christine Brown sets out the tea Robyn Brown’s Manipulation and Meri finally begins to cut ties Kody – literally.
Meri erases Kody’s name and memory
The episode begins in Utah, where Meri Brown fully welcomes your new chapter in your bed and breakfast. She’s been settling in for five months now and even welcomes her friends Lisa and Amber for a little time together. But before they get too comfortable, Meri still has an unfinished task: she has to take down a street sign that has the names of her mother’s children and their spouses on it. That means of course Kodys Name is there, and Meri is not here to store remnants of her failed marriage. She rips off the “Meri & Kody” portion of the sign, bends it in half like a real boss, and throws it—literally—into the trash heap of her past.
“I’ve had enough of these memories” Meri explains as her friends cheer her on. Honestly, we’re all cheering too. Bye, Kody!
Christine brings Robyn the receipts
In the meantime, Meri takes viewers down memory lane to revisit the emotional wreckage of their legal divorce in 2014 Kody. While Kodys The official reason was adoption Robyn’s Children, Meri reveals that she had convinced herself that she would still have her spiritual marriage with her Kody. Spoiler alert: That didn’t last. Within six months Kody was gone, and Meri felt left behind blind and abandoned.
Christinehowever, has a theory about how it all happened. In her confessional she claims Robyn brought up the idea of a divorce Meris head from the start. “When Robyn When she first came into the family, she started talking to us about these other families where the first wife divorced her husband so he could legally marry the second wife and adopt the children.” Christine explained. “It’s a plant,” she says, adding Robyn’s subtle suggestions were anything but random.
Christine continues, “She mentioned that she’s put that in several times over the years because she would have loved it if that had happened.” She admits she doesn’t think so Meri realized she was being manipulated and said, “I think Meri I felt like it was her own idea.”
Christine’s The perspective adds a whole new level of drama and leaves viewers wondering if Robyn’s The friendly behavior was more calculated than previously thought. It’s juicy and you can practically hear the tea kettle whistling.
Robyn denies everything
RobynOf course he won’t let this accusation go.
“The idea in which I planted an idea Meris “Head is an absolute lie,” Robyn insists during her confessional. “I never said it.” She even claims to have never heard of such an arrangement before: “I don’t even know anyone who divorced their first wife so that the second wife could adopt children.”
But Christine isn’t the only one who casts a sideways glance at him Robyn. Janelle also admits that she had concerns about the divorce at the time.
“I was actually kind of speechless when (Meri) told us that she actually did it,” Janelle remembers. “I had already noticed that there was a certain amount of favoritism Robyn out of Kody At that point I was worried.”
Janelles Confession adds weight Christine’s claims and makes it clear that Robyn’s Long before the divorce papers were signed, these actions caused a stir.
Kody’s take: It’s just paperwork
Indeed Kody Mode, he downplays the whole ordeal and dismisses it as no big deal. “In my mind, we just messed up the legal paperwork,” he says. He even remembers taking it Meri I went to dinner and then gave her a “special call” to calm her down. “We probably went home and made love,” he adds casually, as if that clears everything up.
Meribut don’t buy it. Reflecting on the divorce, she says, “I wonder if he already had this plan in mind at that point and said, ‘If I just get this done, it’ll be an easy transition.'” Within six months , she claims, Kody had all but disappeared from their marriage.
This revelation of Meri highlights how emotionally devastating the divorce was for her Kodys frivolous attitude. It’s hard not to feel sympathy for her in these moments.
Robyn’s sob story
Robyn continues to insist that the divorce was not her fault and claims that she didn’t even want a legal marriage. “I was very happy and content with my spiritual marriage. I didn’t need anything else,” she says, adding that her previous divorce was traumatic enough. She claims that was all Meris idea, and she was just “really grateful” for the opportunity to adopt her children.
Merihowever, paints a completely different picture. She recalls feeling “emotionally unsupported” throughout the process, saying, “Emotionally, it felt like I was getting rid of the whole marriage.”
The contrast between Robyn’s And Meris Viewers are left wondering which version of events is closest to the truth. Whatever the case, it is clear that the effects of the divorce continue to reverberate within the family.
Robyn and her daughters confront their past
manual transmission, Robyn is at the center of another storyline, this time involving her daughters Aurora and Breanna. The trio meets with pastors at a local church in Flagstaff to discuss their complicated religious past. Robyn explains that her multiple birth family was threatened with prosecution in Utah, which was partly the reason for her move to Arizona.
“Basically we moved because we were trying to be a family without being torn apart.” Robyn Shares. Despite her difficulties, she remains true to her faith, even if it means facing the judgment of others. “When I tell people about my religious background, they usually look at me like I’m wrong or a sinner because I was part of a pluralistic family,” she says.
Her daughters reflect her feelings and share their own experiences of feeling excluded. It’s a touching moment that highlights the challenges of living in a multifamily family, especially in a society that doesn’t always understand or accept their lifestyle.
Christine finds her dream dress
In a much lighter moment, Christine embarks on the ultimate bridal mission: finding her wedding dress. Accompanied by her daughters Aspyn, Ysabel, Mykelti and Gwendlyn (via FaceTime), Christine tries on a white lace dress that immediately makes everyone swoon. “It’s beautiful,” Christine enthuses in her confessional. “I’m already in love with it.”
Her daughters are just as excited. “This is great,” says Mykelti, while Ysabel declares it her “favorite.” Christine’s The joy is palpable as she says, “I had no idea how incredible it would feel to look at wedding dresses with my daughters.”
Reflecting on the experience Christine admits she’s never felt like this before. “Not like that,” she says when asked if she’s ever felt like a bride. “I have the dress and it’s perfect and my girls are here. Gosh, I didn’t think being a bride would be so much fun.”
This joyful scene provides a much-needed contrast to the heavier moments earlier in the episode, reminding viewers that new beginnings can be beautiful.
A little taste of what’s coming next
The episode ends with Christine’s dizzying anticipation of their wedding David Woolley. The two tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony in Moab, Utah, making each other fulfilled Christine’s dream of a big white wedding. “I want the big white wedding,” she says, and it’s clear she’s finally getting the fairytale she deserves.
