A partnership agreement was signed in Marrakech on Monday to strengthen the safety of motorcyclists with two and three wheels, which provides for the distribution of 20,000 helmets that were approved for a total amount of 6 million DH.
This agreement was concluded between Benacer Boulaajoul, CEO of the National Road Safety Agency (Narsa), and Mohamed Hassan Bensalah, President of the Moroccan Insurance Association (FMA).
The NASSA will take care of the development of a headset distribution program while the FMA will support prevention initiatives.
This partnership is part of the Safe Moto program that aims to increase the wearing of helmet, which is of crucial importance for the protection of the drivers and 40.2 % of fatal victims on streets. This rate is 53 %in the Marrakech Safi region.
