Moroccan Mohamed El Morability won the first stage of the 39th edition of the Sables Marathon (MDS), which was contested on Sunday between Jebel Irhs and Oued Tijekht in the province of Errachidia over a distance of 32 km.
The youngest of the Morability Brothers won after 2 hours 20 min 29 seconds, followed by Rachid el Morability, who signed a time of 2 h 21 min 37 seconds, and Hamid Yachou, 3rd with 1 min and 34 seconds late in second place.
On the female side, Maryline dominated Nakache in the distance. The French traveled this phase for 22 seconds in 2 h 58 minutes with a progress of about 10 minutes on their immediate, the Moroccan Aziza el Amrany, which signed a time of 3 hours by 08 minutes 12 seconds. The Dutch Ragna Debats, which was one of the favorites in the title, took the 3rd place after completing the stage in 3 h 17 min for 14 minutes with a delay of 18 minutes.
The MDS is a 6 -stage competition (250 km), in the self -sufficiency of food and free pace, with an obligation that the competitor bears its equipment (food and obligatory equipment).
