Sam Kerr, striker of Chelsea, was found guilty for racist harassment after he described a metropolitan police officer as “stupid and white”.
A jury at the Kingston Crown Court achieved the judgment on the incident, which took place on January 30, 2023 in Tickenham, southwestern London.
Kerr, 31, claimed that she was “antagonized” by officials after being brought into a taxi to a police station after a disagreement.
While she admitted to using the words “stupid and white” towards PC Stephen Lovell, she denied her comments a racist crime.
The Australian international showed her relief in court and gave up a thumbs up to her legal team before leaving Mewis with her fiance.
The argument began after a taxi driver Kerr and Mewis transported to Tickenham Police Station, and claimed that they had refused to cover the cleaning costs after one of them was sick in the vehicle.
The driver also claimed that one of the women broke the taxi rear window.

Judge Peter Lodder found that Kerr’s actions had played a role in the court proceedings.
“I take the view that your own behavior has contributed significantly to the establishment of this claim,” he said.
“I don’t go behind the jury’s judgment, but that has a significant impact on the costs of the costs.”
During the trial, Kerr admitted that she regretted how she expressed herself, but claimed: “I feel that the message was still relevant.
“I believed that he used his power and privilege about me because he accused me of being something that I am not.
“I tried to express that because of their power and privilege they had, they never had to understand what we had just gone through and what fear we were for our lives.”
It was now known that Kerr’s legal team tried to dismiss the case at a preliminary hearing and argued that the Crown Concity Service (CPS) had abused the process.
Her lawyer Grace Forbes accused the CPS of violating his own guidelines and explained that a “gap” was used in the victim’s right to direction to justify one year after the alleged crime.
During the process, PC Lovell was asked about his statements about the incident. At first he did not mention that Kerr’s statements had been worried, but in a second explanation that was submitted in December 2023, he described the feeling of “shocked, annoyed and (on the left) to feel humiliated”.
