The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ivory Coast, Léon Kacou Adom, reaffirmed in Laâyoune during the 5th session of the Grand Joint Commission for Cooperation between Morocco and Ivory Coast his country’s unwavering support for Morocco’s territorial integrity.

At the end of his talks with his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita, he reiterated Ivory Coast’s support for Morocco’s autonomy plan, which is seen as a realistic solution to the Sahara regional dispute. In addition, he also welcomed the United Nations’ efforts to find a lasting solution and underlined his country’s commitment, in particular through the opening of a consulate general in Laâyoune in 2020.
