Rylee Arnold talks about meeting Beau Walker Lyons

Rylee Arnold spills some serious tea on her meet-cute with her current boyfriend, Walker Lyons.

The talented dancer recalls how a lucky twist of fate put her boyfriend on the right track when Los Angeles traffic left her confused and frustrated.

Rylee Arnold and Walker Lyons started their relationship on Instagram in October and have been publicly praising the athlete ever since.

On the Christmas episode of The Squeeze podcast, the TV personality made some lovely confessions about meeting her boyfriend for the first time. According to Arnold, it all started with a day that went wrong due to annoying LA traffic and she had no choice but to take an Uber.

She recalled picking up a few essential clothing items in preparation for an appearance on “Good Morning America.” Arnold noted that she was alone and had no one to spend time with in LA since her family and friends were out of town. She explained:

“And I just thought, I don’t want to drive so long trying to find a parking spot in a random mall. And it’s Saturday. I just won’t do that.”

The dancer mentioned that she made her decision from her mother, who suggested her to take an Uber ride and that’s how it all started. Arnold said about the journey:

“I’m getting in this Uber. It’s this one Really nice lady. And we just are How, She talks about dance and what she does. And she also said, “Okay, that might sound good.” Really strange. Don’t take this the wrong way.’”

Arnold revealed on Podcast that her driver told her about her “nephew who plays USC football,” who could very well get along with the dancer. The driver then encouraged the dancer to check out the athlete on Instagram and contact him if interested.

Arnold stated that she relied on the Uber driver’s word and checked on Lyon. In her words: “I looked for him and thought, ‘Okay, he’s cute.’ At this point I was too scared to really do anything about it, so I just stuffed it in my back pocket.

The day came to an end and when she returned home, she completely forgot what had just happened and refocused on “Dancing with the Stars.”

She added that she doesn’t have a strong desire to get into a relationship anyway. At the time, juggling love and her hectic schedule seemed like a bad idea, which affected her emotional availability.

However, fate had bigger plans and one day one of her sisters sent a TikTok video of Lyons to her family group chat and suggested she contact him about a possible date. With laughter she said:

“I thought, ‘You’re going to die now. I’ literally “was in his aunt’s Uber a week ago,” and they said, “Riley, follow him.” Now follow him Now.‘”

Arnold shared that she eventually discovered that she and the college football player had a lot more in common than his Uber-driving aunt.

“And then I find out that my brother-in-law is actually friends with his best friend’s dad, and so there’s a connection,” the professional dancer explained.

Lyons also knew many of the TV personality’s friends in Utah. She revealed that his hometown friends went to school in the same area where she grew up.

“We have a crazy amount of mutuals, so the fact that we’ve never met before is kind of crazy, but I think we met at the perfect time in our lives,” she added.

The “DWTS” star decided she had given in to the pressure and decided to follow him on Instagram first. She continued:

“So he followed me back, messaged me and then got my number and we.” text for a while, and then he asked, “Can I take you on a date?” And I thought, ‘Of course you can.’ That’s where it all started.”

Arnold has only had nice things to say about her boyfriend so far, proving that her decision to take a significant risk and step out of her comfort zone has paid off.

The TV star introduced her athlete boyfriend to the world of social media in super cute slides on a very interesting date night and wrote: “Is this a tough start?”

The Pictures were awarded after Lyon’s team, the USC Trojans, earned a great win against the Rutgers Scarlet Knight on Saturday, October 26, and Arnold was there to cheer her friend on to victory.

The new couple couldn’t keep their hands and eyes off each other. As can be seen in the rest of the photos, they also shared moments of laughter. Arnold previously admitted that their similar schedules in their respective careers have allowed them to spend time supporting each other.

The superstar said she always looks forward to hanging out with Lyons: “I don’t know, it’s just crazy that we’ve been hanging out after each other for a bit, but I don’t mind. I’m so excited to get to know him and hang out with him and just be curious to see how it all turns out.
