Russia will abandon its moratorium on the deployment of short- and medium-range missiles, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told state media on Sunday, citing the U.S. decision to deploy such weapons around the world. Washington withdrew from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty in 2019.
