Meknes-the Moroccan Football Association Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (RSB) today secured a precious 1-0 win against Ivorian hosts Asec mimoses in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The first half in the Felix Houphouët Boigny Stadium ended in a goalless draw when both teams tried to break through opposing defense despite several attempts.
At the beginning of the second half, the Renaissance Berkane offensive made the club shortly before the evaluation opened. Ayoub Khairi and Youssef Mehris efforts to achieve the opponent’s network were averted by the mimosa goalkeeper.
Coach Moïne Chaâbanis Kader kept possession of the ball when they were looking for a winning goal.

Her persistence paid off when Imad Riahi used an opponent’s defense error to achieve the decisive goal for the RSB team in the 75th minute.
RSB will organize Mimosen for the second stage of the CAF Confederation Cup in the Berke Municipal Stadium on April 9th, with the kickoff being planned for 8:00 p.m. Morocco time.
While they want to continue to move forward to dealing with continental fame, the Moroccan side now has a significant advantage that flows into the second leg on the home.
This away win could prove to be crucial to determine which team is progressing the semi -finals of the second club competition in Africa.
