Doha – Royal Air Maroc (RAM) was recognized as the best flight routes between Spain and Africa at the 30th Travel Ranking Awards, which were organized by Agenttravel Magazine in Madrid on Thursday.
The award ceremony, kept Almost 200 executives in the tourism industry brought together in Meliá Castilla Hotel in Madrid. The distinction was particularly significant because it was based on ratings of travel agencies that were published every month in Agenttravel.
Habib Skiredj, Rams regional director of the Iberian Peninsula, accepted the award and recognized the role of the airline in the connection between Spain and Morocco.
“This recognition shows the position of Royal Air Maroc as an important connection between Spain and Morocco, two Mediterranean neighbors and strategic partners,” said Skiredj.
The Moroccan national airline has established itself as a preferred choice for travelers between Spain and Africa through its strategic route network, the modernization of the fleet and the improvement of the service.
RAM operates from its main center at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca and currently manages a fleet of 51 aircraft and operates 89 destinations.
The airline presented ambitious expansion plans, including a tender launched On April 15, 2024, the fleet quarreled to around 200 aircraft by 2030.
This growth strategy corresponds to the preparations of Morocco for the joint event of the FIFA World Cup 2030 and the growing tourism sector in the country, which is currently put on 17.4 million visitors annually.

The Travel Ranking Awards Ceremony was inaugurated by Miguel Sanz, General Director of Turespaña, and Laura Martínez Cerro, director of tourism and hospitality for the municipality of Madrid.
The event recognized Excellence in 30 different categories in the tourism sector, whereby the winners were selected on the basis of the opinions of 1,600 travel agents.
RAM, who joined the OneWorld Alliance in 2020, further strengthens its position as one of Africa leading Airlines.
The expansion plans of the airline include improving the domestic connection, the establishment of new tourist routes and strengthening the position of Casablanca as an important aviation center.
