Wayne Rooney Wayne Rooney from Manchester United asked Marcus Rashford to leave the club and described his current situation in the club as “embarrassing”.
Rashford was absent in the last 11 play cadres of United. Manager Ruben Amorim made it clear that the English international is not in his plans.
On Sunday, Amorim went to say so far that he would prefer to choose 63-year-old goalkeeper coach Jorge Vital via Rashford.
The Portuguese manager strengthened his attitude a few days later and insisted that the striker “has to change” if he wanted to play for the club again.
Rooney, United’s leading goal scorer, played briefly with Rashford both on the club and on an international level. He believes that the 27-year-old is no longer himself and has to look for a fresh start elsewhere.
When he spoke about the overlap, he said: “I spoke to Marcus a few times and gave him my thoughts and my opinion. I said you have to leave the football club, because whatever is going on in his life and whatever is going on in Manchester United, he is not the same. It’s not him.
“So I said for him to have a fresh start, he has to leave the club. The fact that your manager comes out and says that you don’t train properly is crazy.

“It has been lasting with Marcus for two years and it’s sad. It’s really sad. “
Although Rashford expressed interest in a new challenge, he has not been able to secure a January before the transmission window period on Monday.
Rooney, who regularly visits United’s training grounds due to the participation of his sons in the academy, remembered that Rashford trained in isolation.
“I went to Carrington on Sunday to bring my children to the match day, and Marcus was on the training ground with the fitness trainer,” he said.
“But he was in the direction of where the parents passed the children’s games. I looked at him and wondered how embarrassing it should be for him when parents pass.
“I was surprised when (Rashford’s training problems) started over two years ago, but now I’m not.”
Since Rashford’s future in Old Trafford looks more uncertain, it remains to be seen whether he will find an exit route in the coming days or will be limited to exile for a few months.
