The 4th World Minister Conference for Road Traffic Safety, which is held in Marrakech, shows the commitment of Morocco and its credibility in the international scene under the direction of SM King Mohammed VI in accordance with the constant representative of the kingdom at the United Nations Omar Hilale. This event, which is organized under the high royal patronage, underlines the trust granted in Morocco, in particular on its south-south cooperation policy, and marks special support for Africa, in which 25 % of world accidents occur.
“Morocco is the first African and Arab country that welcomes this large conclave, a signal for the support of Africa, especially since almost 25% of accidents take place worldwide on the continent“Said the ambassador.
Omar Hilale insisted on the ability to mobilize the international community in order to improve traffic safety, especially in Africa.
He emphasized initiatives such as the integration of traffic safety into national budget budgets and the consciousness efforts of the citizens. He also underlined the importance of the specialist knowledge of the National Road Safety Agency (Narsa) and the establishment of the International VI Prize for Road Traffic Safety in Marrakech, an initiative to encourage southern countries, road safety strategies.
“It is a united cooperation in which Morocco provides its success and experiences for all friendly and brother countries. “said the ambassador.
Finally, he said that traffic safety becomes a central axis of the South South cooperation and that a meeting that is planned for 2026.
