The Minister for Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali, said on Wednesday in Salé that her department had multiplied the number of licenses granted for the implementation of projects renewable energies and the volume of the investments in the sector.
During a meeting/debate from the Lafqui Titouani Foundation on the challenges of the energy transfer and sustainable development, she said that her department from the first year of the government mandate has been multiplied annually with 15 of the number of project licenses renewable energies and was determined from and collected from. and 1.5 billion DH up to 6 billion DH investments in this sector between 2023 and 2024.
In addition, Benali found that the sector has carried out a qualitative leap in relation to labor creations by multiplied by 11 its rate in the sector of renewable energies, while investing in the electrical network with a significant growth of its volume.
With regard to hydrocarbons, the minister declares that their department has worked on multipliering the investments in this sector by implementing the recommendations of the competitive council, in particular by the number of dealers from 19 to 35 and the creation of 600 new service stations, who made it possible to create 3,500 jobs.
