Doha – The Interior Ministry in Morocco has announced that the registration process for the mandatory military service for 2025 will begin on April 25th and continue until June 23.
The announcement was made after the Central Commission’s registration for the registration of military service was convened on Thursday at the headquarters of the Interior Ministry.
Under the chair of a chamber president of the Court of Cassation, the Commission found the criteria to determine which young people have to fill out the registration forms military service.
According to the ministry’s statement, the Commission defined the necessary criteria to determine the number of people who are called up to fill out the registration form based on the folk counting database compiled by the Interior Ministry.
According to the work of the Commission, the authorities of lists of young people who are appointed to carry out military services will be concluded, which are organized by prefectures, provinces and prefectures of the district in which they live. Local administrative services throughout the country print and deliver registration information to those affected.
The Interior Minister asks young people to receive these notifications in order to fill out the registration form via the committed website (www.tajnid.ma).
This registration process follows the instructions of King Mohammed VI, commander -in -chief and chief of staff of the royal forces, with regard to the implementation of the necessary measures to integrate the next recruits into military service until September.
Morocco’s mandatory military service went down Main changes throughout its history. The service was initially used on June 9, 1966 by a royal decree from the late King Hassan II. The service was suspended in 2006 before it was reinstated 2019 by King Mohammed VI.

The current military service law sets the duration of 12 months with the authorization for those aged 19 to 25. The service includes a four -month general military training, followed by an eight -month specialization.
Those who do not respond to the call could be exposed to a year in prison from one month and possibly doubled for repeat offenders.
Exceptions are granted for physical inability, support for family support, marriage, ongoing studies or a siblings that are already used. Government officials, parliamentarians and employees of companies who are considered essential for the public interest are also excluded from the service.
While Moroccan men is mandatory, the service for women and Moroccans who live abroad remains optional. In 2022 women constituted 16% of the total registrants.
During their service, the recruits receive a monthly allowance that varies on the educational background: MAD 1,050 (105 US dollars) for people with less than one Abitur, MAD 1,500 (150 USD) for high school graduates and MAD 2,100 (210 USD) for graduates from the university.
These allowances are released and offer additional advantages, including free clothing, accommodation, food and access to military health facilities.
The government has positioned military service as more than a national duty and emphasized its role in coping with social challenges, especially youth unemployment.
With more than two thirds of job seekers in Morocco between 15 and 29, the service offers professional training in 64 specializations, including information technology, mechanics, masonry, carpentry, sanitary and other professional skills that enable entry into the labor market.
