Liverpool expanded her lead at the head of the Premier League to 13 points after winning a comfortable 2-0 victory over Newcastle in Anfield on Wednesday.
The goals of Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister gave Arne Slot all three points when the Reds continued their march to the title.
Newcastle was without star strikers Alexander Isak, and the absence of Sweden International was showing very few clear chances when Eddie Howe’s team in a game that was largely dominated by the hosts.

How the action develops
The rain whipped over the Anfield lawn, but the weather dampened little to dampen Liverpool Spirituos.

Liverpool were rarely worried from there. Salah was looking for a goal. The backline stroked the ball with a boast. The victory seemed to be inevitable.
Ibrahima Konate had felt a goal for a foul for Pope, while Cody Gakpo came close to a breathtaking acrobatic effort.
