Marcus Rashford has reportedly held talks with a leading sports agency to push through a move away from Manchester United this month.

According to The Sun, the 27-year-old has been in contact with Stellar, the same agency that facilitated Gareth Bale’s £86m move from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid in 2013.

On its website, Stellar claims to “create the best opportunities for talent to maximize their careers and realize their ambitions.”

Rashford is currently represented by brother Dwaine Maynard, but The Sun also claims he is ready to join Stellar to secure a move.

It has been a turbulent time for Rashford under new United manager Ruben Amorim. Before Monday’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle, where he was not used, Rashford had been left out of United’s squad for four games by the Portuguese coach.

This led England to reveal in an interview with journalist Henry Winter in December that he was “ready for a new challenge”, leading to growing speculation about his future at Old Trafford.

However, the United Academy graduate insisted there would be “no hard feelings” if he did indeed leave the Red Devils.

“You won’t get any negative comments from me about Manchester United. This is who I am as a person,” he said.

United currently sit 14th in the Premier League table after suffering a dismal run of results that saw them lose three games in a row without scoring.

They travel to league leaders and arch-rivals Liverpool on January 5 before traveling to Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup seven days later.
