Ranieri wins the Rome derby again, while Cagliari also triumphs in Serie A

Roma took advantage of a 15-point deficit to arch-rivals Lazio early in the game to push on Claudio Ranieris perfect record in the Rome derby in his third term as Giallorossi coach on Sunday.

The result extended Roma’s unbeaten streak to four games in all competitions and ended a run of three straight away wins for their opponents.

Roma vs Lazio: capital derby

Lorenzo Pellegrini scored a stylish opener after 10 minutes at the Stadio Olimpico, capping a great team move where Alexis Saelemaekers sealed Roma’s 2-0 victory eight minutes later.

Nikola Krstovic hit the post from distance as third-bottom Lecce threatened to score their first point in three games.

Morten Thorsby and Andrea Pinamonti also scored for Genoa before half-time to secure a 0-0 draw, which puts Il Grifone three points above the relegation zone.
