Patrick Stewart, Managing Director of Rangers, said a “football check” takes place throughout the club after the IBROX legend Barry Ferguson was appointed as the successor to Philippe Clement for the rest of the season.
The coaching team of the former Ranger captain Ferguson will be Clement’s deputy manager Issame Charai and Neil McCann, Billy Dodds and Allan McGregor with his first game in Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday (8 p.m. GMT).

Ferguson, who won the league, the Scottish Cup and the League Cup in two spells at Ibrox, played for the association for the first time between 1997 and 2003 and returned from 2005 to 2009.
The 47-year-old resigned from his last coaching role at Alloa Athletic in February 2022 after winning nine of his 33 responsible games.
After a short spell as a Blackpool manager at the EFL championship in 2014 and won three of the 20 games he supervised and spent Ferguson at Clyde and Kelty Hearts for almost three years.
With Clyde he reached the play-off final of the Scottish fourth stage and won an action from the Lowland League and the fourth stage with Kelty.
