Potter praises West Ham’s “togetherness” after claiming their first win as manager against Fulham was “far from perfect”.

“There was only one team that was on the pitch trying to win the game until we conceded the first goal to them.

“We controlled the game and hit the crossbar. We’ve shown the quality up until then, but we have to maintain the level throughout the game.

“In addition, Raul Jimenez hit the crossbar again and despite the mistakes we made in the first half, the result could have been completely different if we had been disciplined.

“In the second half we knew we had to start strong and score early to come back and get a result. We did it and then conceded another goal for them. We did everything much better than West Ham.

“We were dominant in all games. But that wasn’t reflected in the result at all, that’s the reality of the Premier League.”
