Barcelona midfielder Pedri says the club needs to bounce back after their 1-0 home defeat to Leganes on Sunday.
An early goal from Sergio Gonzalez in the fourth minute proved crucial as Barcelona failed to win for the fifth time in their last six LaLiga games.
During this disappointing period, Barcelona managed to collect just five points from a possible 18, causing their lead at the top of the table to disappear.
They are now level on points with Atletico Madrid, who they face next weekend, and are just one point ahead of Real Madrid. Both Madrid clubs still have a game left.
After the game Pedri said: “It was a bad game, it’s impossible to be happy. I think we started the game half asleep. We woke up and created chances, but we lacked the spark we needed to score the goal.
“We have to be better in front of goal if we want to get points. We are on a bad path in the league and have to turn things around.
“We have played a lot of games in a row but that is no excuse. We have to finish with the same confidence that we showed in the Champions League.

“If you don’t score goals in football, it’s impossible to win.”
Barcelona dominated the game after conceding a goal early on, but were repeatedly denied by Leganes goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic.
The Blaugrana recorded over 20 shots, six of which were scored by Robert Lewandowski and recorded an individual expected goals (xG) value of 1.65.
Since Hansi Flick was suspended, assistant coach Marcus Sorg took charge on the sidelines. S
As Sorg reached his peak after the game, he admitted that Barcelona’s young team needs to adapt to the ups and downs of the season.
“It is very difficult in LaLiga and at the moment we are having problems with the games,” said Sorg.
“Today, especially in the first ten minutes, we didn’t concentrate as we normally do, or as we sometimes do in the Champions League.
“We conceded a goal and then the team tried everything to score. We created a lot of chances – 21, five or six of which were really good – and that’s the problem. We have to learn from this and the players have to get used to playing every three to four days.
“We are definitely not happy with the form now. But sometimes you have to accept that there are ups and downs when building a team.”
What added to Barcelona’s woes was that Lamine Yamal appeared to injure his ankle in the first half but continued to play until the end of the second half.
The young star is scheduled to undergo tests on Monday to determine the severity of the injury.
