The President of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, met on Thursday in Granada with the President of the Spanish MP, Francina Armgol, and the European Commissioner of the Mediterranean, Dubravka Suica. These interviews took place on the edge of the International Forum on the future of the Mediterranean, which were organized as part of the Spanish presidency of the union’s parliamentary meeting for the Mediterranean (AP-Upm).
With his Spanish counterpart, Talbi El Alami praised the quality of the Moroccan relationships and demanded them by more persistent parliamentary coordination. The two officials have agreed to accelerate the next meeting of the Morocco Spain Parliament forum, a dialogue platform for common topics such as climate, migration, infrastructure or joint organization of the World Cup 2030.
During his meeting with Suica, the President of the Chamber discussed the means of energizing the parliamentary cooperation between the Euro-Mediterranean. On this occasion, the commissioner welcomed the “strategic partnership” between Morocco and the European Union and emphasized the role models of cooperation in migration matters.
The Granada Forum, which brings together the presidents and vice presidents of the members of the AP-Upm from April 2 to 4, deals with four major challenges of the region: migration movements, climate change, employment of young people and equality of sexes.
