The program “Implication of young people in the parliamentary campaign” ended on Tuesday in the House of Representatives after participating young people in parliamentary life were strengthened for three years.
The program was launched in April 2022 in cooperation with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy and benefited 50 young people, including 48% women from political parties and civil societies. The President of the Chamber, Rachid Talbi Alami, emphasized how important it is to train young people in parliamentary mechanisms and democratic culture, while he was the ongoing reforms under the impetus of his Majesty King Mohammed VI. The program made it possible to organize 5 training meetings and 26 workshops on legislation, control of government measures and diplomatic relationships.
The participants also worked on four political documents, including the fight against climate change, participating in young people in public affairs and artificial intelligence. According to the director of the Westminster Foundation, Fatiha Ait Oulaid, this program made it possible to strengthen the capacities of young people and create a dynamic network of political and associative players.
Talbi Alami called to use the success of the program by continuing the dialogue and sharing parliamentary culture to strengthen trust in institutions and the participation of citizens.
