An envelope of 8.6 million DH was assigned to complete the protective work of the city of Ouezzane against the floods.
The aim of this project is to secure the city’s western districts, to improve the drain and to facilitate their evacuation.
The work includes the development of three gorges and the construction of a reinforced concrete channel to distract the water. The financing comes from the Ministry of Equipment and Water, 1 million DH of the Council of Tanger-Touan-Al Hceima, 1 million DH from the Loukkos Hydraulic Basin Agency (Abhl) and 0.6 million DH from the city of Ouezzane.
The execution is provided by the agency for the promotion and development of the north (APDN) under the supervision of the province of Ouezzane, whereby the ABHL provides technical support and hydrological data, and the municipality, which takes care of the displacement of water, electricity and sanitary networks.
