Rabat-Morocko’s tourist office this week organized a Panafrican workshop that is dedicated to promoting tourism throughout Africa in Casablanca. The event brought together tourism representatives, experts and important actors from the hotels and the airline.
The main goal of the workshop was to strengthen the position of both Morocco and the African continent on the global tourism map. The event has highlighted the role of Morocco as a key center for tourism in Africa And a driving force behind the development of the sector.
During the event, the participants discussed how they can make Africa a more attractive travel destination. They focused on opportunities to improve flight travel connections, attract more international visitors and offer better tourist experiences.
Morocco is already working through a strategy based on accessibility, diverse tourist attractions and the growing presence of international hotel brands in the country, according to a press release on these goals.
The workshop was also part of ONMT’s efforts to make Moroccan and African tourism more competitive. The most important focus was on better air connectivity, a wider range of tourist options and improved services for visitors.
Experts from Morocco and abroad led discussions about various important topics such as the development of tourism infrastructure, the use of digital tools to improve travel experiences and promote sustainable and responsible tourism throughout Africa.
One of the main goals of the workshop was to promote more air routes between African countries, to develop common marketing strategies and to support more cooperation between Tourism -Stakeholderder.
The meeting ended with a number of recommendations that aimed to improve the cooperation between African countries in order to improve Africa’s visibility as a travel destination and to promote environmentally friendly practices in tourism.
