Hello friends! How are you doing? I hope you enjoy the day and had a nice weekend.
For today’s post I wanted to share this skincare favorite again!! I’m always interested in trying new skincare brands and as I’ve learned about them over time biohacking conference, I was fascinated.
OneSkin is a brand that has garnered attention for its science-based approach to skincare, particularly in the anti-aging space. So today I wanted to talk about what OneSkin is all about, highlight some of their top products, discuss the cost, and weigh the pros and cons.
OneSkin review and whether it is worth the price
What is OneSkin?
OneSkin is a biotechnology company focused on developing skin care solutions that address the causes of skin aging at the molecular level. The brand’s mission is to extend skin health and longevity by reducing the skin’s biological age. Founded by a team of scientists with experience in stem cell research, OneSkin combines cutting-edge research with high-quality ingredients to create products that promote healthier, more youthful skin.
I was able to hear the founder, Carolina Oilveira, speaking Biohacking conferenceand she was amazing! She talked about habits for healthy skin and how OneSkin technology works. They use something called OS-01, a novel peptide that targets aging cells. Dr. Cabral calls these types of cells “zombie cells” because they cause oxidation, which in turn leads to and accelerates inflammation. If you’ve been curious about peptides, this is a nice current release.
Top products
OneSkin offers a range of products that target different aspects of skin aging. When I first heard about it, I couldn’t wait to try out the body products like the SPF moisturizer and body lotion.
Here are some of my favorite products:
1. OS-01 face
The flagship product, OS-01 face, is a topical nutritional supplement designed to improve skin health and appearance. It contains the proprietary peptide OS-01, which targets senescent cells, cells that contribute to aging and inflammation. The formula is also packed with antioxidants and moisturizing ingredients to support overall skin health.
2. OS-01 body
Similar to the OS-01 Face, This product is specifically designed for the body. It aims to improve skin health by combating aging at the cellular level and promoting firmer, more elastic skin. It is ideal for areas at risk of aging such as the neck, décolleté and hands.
3. OS-01 eye cream
The OS-01 eye cream was specially developed for the sensitive skin around the eyes. The aim is to reduce the appearance of fine lines, dark circles and puffiness for a more youthful and rested appearance.
3. OS-01 lip mask
Possibly mine Favorite lip product of all time. It’s super thick and hydrating, which is best in the winter months!
Here is a breakdown of the costs:
They are definitely premium products and the prices reflect the advanced research and high quality ingredients used in the formulations.
Additionally, OneSkin offers subscription options that allow customers to save approximately 10% on their purchases. With my discount code FITNESSISTA15 you get 15% off, which is an even better deal!
Advantages
Scientifically based formulas: OneSkin’s products are developed based on rigorous scientific research and focus on the causes of skin aging.
Targeted Ingredients: The use of proprietary peptides and other potent ingredients helps effectively counteract skin aging.
Positive reviews: Many users report noticeable improvements in skin texture, firmness and overall appearance.
Cruelty-free: OneSkin is committed to ethical practices and ensures that its products are not tested on animals.
Disadvantages
Price point: Premium pricing may not be available to everyone.
Limited product range: Although effective, the current product range is relatively small compared to other skin care brands.
Results may vary: As with any skin care product, individual results may vary and some users may not experience the same benefits.
My thoughts:
While we were at the biohacking conference, I purchased a few products including the eye cream, body lotion, and tinted face moisturizer with SPF. The first thing I noticed was that the products felt thinner. They are not greasy at all and are absorbed into the skin immediately. I like this because my skin is already on the oily side, but I also like thick, luxurious, super hydrating products. It’s like my skin drinks the product straight away, meaning it absorbs quickly.
The bottles are a little more expensive, but in my opinion it’s worth it, especially if they improve skin texture. I initially spent about $260 on the three products and they lasted three months.
I think that that tinted sun protection factor is 100,000% worth it – It’s the best replacement for the Beautycounter dewy skin I’ve tried and I like this one even better!
(Took a photo after just using this tinted SPF. No filter, no other makeup.)
When you try a product, Start with this one. It’s $56 (use my code FITNESSISTA15 for 15% off) and I love the shade, texture, light coverage and also that it’s fragrance free.
I have only been using the products for over a year and have noticed a difference in the texture of my skin.
At the moment my routine looks like this:
Day:
Body: OneSkin body
Night:
Fresh cleaner (I have a sample of the OneSkin but haven’t tried it yet)
OneSkin eye cream (it’s gentle on my eyes and odorless) or this eye cream– I like to switch it up
F59 serum, also known as No-Tox, in a bottle
Body: This body cream
Weekly: Honey enzyme maskand the Eminence Turmeric Mask
Overall, I think OneSkin is an incredible product and offers science-backed products that aim to reduce the biological age of the skin. I think it’s definitely worth taking a look or trying out some examples to see if it suits you! The travel sets are more affordable and this way you can try them out and see if you like them.
So tell me, friends: What does your skincare routine look like these days? Do you switch between different brands or do you have a few tried and tested favorites?
xoxo
Gina
